Fun with Music

Release Date: 1/1/1983
Manufacturer: Epyx
Epyx branded itself somewhat differently from the majority of companies that produced video games for gaming platforms and home computers in the 1980s. The tag-line for Epyx software was usually a variation on a phrase like "Computer Games Thinkers Play." This cartridge, as one might expect, is a rather primitive piece of software that allows individuals to compose simple songs. The interface and experience are, by modern standards, primitive and complicated. Still, it was companies like this that took the risks necessary to bring the composition experience to the home computer that, over time, gave rise to products like Logic, Digital Performer, Cakewalk, Cubase, Reason, Live, etc.
