Link It! was essentially a Laplink clone with one major distinction: it was cross platform. In the package there was both Amiga and PC (Windows) versions of the product and it supported both serial and parallel ports. It also contained a unique feature that allowed file conversion to be applied automatically after a transfer occurred.

Link It! was also one of the first applications to support long filenames in Windows 95 when it was released.

Not only did the software support long filenames in Windows 95 - it did so as a 16-bit Windows 3.1 program. Most programs at the time needed to be updated from a Windows 3.1 version to a Windows 95 version. Link-It worked correctly right out of the box - no upgrade required. I wrote the magic code to handle all of this. I also wrote the low level communication code that sent the bits over the parallel port.
