Commodore 64

Release Date: 7/1/1983
Manufacturer: Pro-Line Software
Written by Brad Templeton, PAL 64 was one of the premier assembly language tools for the Commodore 64 (and originally the PET).

Instead of using a specific command line interface or even a graphical user interface, PAL uniquely allowed you to write and edit your code using the BASIC editor built in to the Commodore 64. A simple command at the beginning of the code invoked the assembler. BASIC source files were easily saved and loaded.
