Commodore 64 Ad: Priced for Nobody?

"If personal computers are for everybody, how come they're priced for nobody?". This ad, taken from an August 1983 issue of Compute!, shows a retail price of $1395 for an Apple IIe, $999 for the TRS-80 III, and $1355 for the IBM PC - compared to the $595 price of the Commodore 64.

The price comparisons were from March 20, 1983.
