Release Date: 1/1/1988
Manufacturer: Atari
This "fast" 286 PC compatible system from Atari ran both MS-DOS and Minix and included a 65 MB hard drive. 2MB of RAM and built-in VGA graphics were just starting to become more popular at the time of its release. Atari, having its roots in the ST line, also included a mouse port (that worked with only their mice) but made the PC a more friendly environment. They also included the GEM operating system with their PC's to make them feel even more like their distant ST cousin. Although the machine ran at 12 MHz its design made it seem faster than similar products out at the time.

I had one of those back in those days. Bought it in 1989. Default configuration was a bit different. I had the 16mhz version with 1mb ram and 60mb hard drive. It came with dos 3.3 and Windows 2.someting. In retrospect the best pc I ever owned!
