Pharaoh's Curse

Pharaoh's Curse

Release Date: 1/1/1983
Manufacturer: HES
This cartridge is a platform-type game in which the player controls a figure that, in all likelihood, is meant to be an archaeologist cut from the Indiana Jones mould. This game plays somewhat awkwardly. It would have benefitted enormously from a two-button joystick. The player jumps by pushing the joystick upwards, rather than the fire button. This makes it difficult to time jumps properly. The fire button allows the player to shoot at the baddies that crawl around the tomb. Aside from this, the game looks good and has excellent sound for a Vic-20 game.
