Personal Computer Museum, Canada's Videogame Museum

Unable to drop off your donation on a Monday night or Saturday open house? Why not schedule us to come and pick it up.

The museum runs on volunteers, but we are able to do some pickups from your home or office located in either Brantford or Brant County, and in some cases we can also do pickups in the Greater Toronto Area (including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, etc.) Pickups are available only on mutually agreeable dates/times and note that SPECIAL HANDLING may be required for heavy items (such as old console TVs or CRT televisions).

We accept anything with a wire, working or not (including but not limited to computers, monitors, printers, scanners, microwaves, televisions, old wire). We also take scrap metal. We are also interested in old videogames, computer and videogame related books & magazines, software (full packaging preferred but will take all) and of course any vintage electronics like phones, PDAs, radios and so on.

Financial Donations

The museum operates completely by financial donations. No salaries are paid to anyone, but money is used to pay the utility bills in the building and in some cases funds are used to obtain new equipment or provide upgrades to the existing displays. We accept donations at the door in our drop box or via Paypal here on our website. Using Paypal you can use a credit card or your bank account by clicking below. Thank you very much for your consideration!

Your donated equipment

The machines and other equipment, software and documentation that you donate will have one of three (3) things happen to them.

· Used by the museum for displays or administration
· Donated (after being safely cleaned and reformatted) to the Free Computer Giveaway Program to help individuals and not-for-profit agencies in our community
· Safely and properly recycled with our approved recycling vendor(s)

You may think we wouldn't want your equipment, but it's quite possible that you have something within your collection of items that we are missing. It could be as simple as a brochure or a cartridge or a piece of original software. You just never know, so before throwing out any of these pieces of history please contact us and consider donating it to us.

We are especially looking for old software programs in the original packaging. Games, applications, old magazines, you name it!
